2026 Global Research Initiatives Faculty Fellowship Summer

The GRI Faculty Fellowship is a research-in-residence program that provides an opportunity for faculty to conduct funded research while based at many of NYU’s Global Academic Centers. It offers fellows an academic “home base” and an opportunity to participate in life at a Global Academic Center. All full-time faculty are eligible to apply to the available location of their choice by providing an outline of their research plans while on site. GRI Fellowships are open to all full-time tenured/tenure track and continuing contract faculty. At this time, only first-time faculty applicants for fellowships are accepted. GRI fellowships start at two weeks and can last up to three months, depending on availability. Applications for Summer and Fall 2026 are now open. The deadline for Summer 2026 applications has been extended to February 12, 2026. The deadline for Fall 2026 applications has been extended to March 19, 2026.
