Pilkyung Moon, Assistant Professor of Physics at NYU Shanghai and member of the Physics Institute, was invited to speak at the XXXI IUPAP Conference on Computational Physics. The annual conference aims to bring together computational scientists working closely in the field of physics to exchange the latest developments in computational techniques and their applications. This year, it took place from July 28th to August 1st at the Chinese University of Hong Kong in Hong Kong, China. For the talk, Professor Moon focused on the topic of “Momentum-space Tight-binding Model for Incommensurately Stacked Atomic Layers: Application to Graphene Quasicrystal.”
