About the CCRC
The Climate Change Research Consortium (the "Consortium") serves the NYU Shanghai research community in the following ways:
- Network: Increases awareness of interest and expertise in climate change research both within the NYU Shanghai and NYU global communities, and between NYU Shanghai and external entities. This involves efforts to collect, catalog and regularly disseminate information regarding ongoing climate change research and researchers at NYU Shanghai, within the NYU global network, and in greater Shanghai.
- Enrich: Provides a platform for NYU Shanghai researchers to present their climate change research, exchange feedback, and identify potential collaborators for future projects.
- Resource: Curates and distributes information on internal and external opportunities for climate-related grant funding and ensures grant applicants are well-connected to internal application resources.
Above all the Consortium creates synergies, increases information sharing, and provides a central platform to promote and enhance NYU Shanghai's climate change research activities.
Faculty Coordinator
Tyler Haupert, Assistant Professor of Urban Studies, is the faculty coordinator of the Consortium. Please direct any inquiries to him at tdh299@nyu.edu.
If you are interested in joining the Consortium's mailing list, which will send out regular email communication about upcoming grant deadlines, events, and other climate change research-related resources, please follow this link and click the 'Ask to Join Group' button near the top of the page.
The CCRC compiles and frequently updates an internal database of faculty and research staff engaged in climate change research. The purpose of this database, which is only accessible to NYU affiliates, is to facilitate research collaborations and to increase knowledge of the climate change-related work occurring across all of NYU Shanghai's disciplinary fields. You can access the database here. If you'd like to be added to the database, please complete this short form.
The Research Office curates a list of climate change-related research grant opportunities for which NYU Shanghai faculty are eligible to apply. You can access the list here. The list will be updated periodically. Note: the CCRC newsletter will also distribute applicable funding announcements as they become available.
