Tao Jiao received her PhD degree in Accounting from Rotterdam School of Management. Her research interests include earnings management, corporate governance and international accounting.  Her research papers are published in various academic journals and books. Before joining NYU Shanghai, Tao taught at The Paul Merage School of Business, University of California, Irvine. She has taught various accounting courses, such as Principles of Accounting I & II and Intermediate Accounting I & II at both undergraduate and graduate levels. Before her career in academia, she was a valuation consultant at Duff & Phelps, Amsterdam. She has also passed all three levels of CFA exams.

Research interests: Earnings Management, Corporate Governance, International Accounting
