Abstract:

Magnetism and electricity are two fundamental physical properties of matters, which are also the physical basis of modern society. In recent years, the coupling between magnetic moments and electric dipoles in solids have become an important topic. The study of new magnetoelectric materials can not only deepen the understanding of condensed matter physics and material science., but also is helpful to the design of new quantum devices. In this talk, I will briefly introduce the background of magnetoelectricity and then show some of our recent works.
