  • Global Opportunity Grants (GOG)
    The Global Opportunity Grants for Locally Integrative Academic Events at NYU’s Global Sites (GOG) awards up to $25,000 to support the development and hosting of scholarly and creative events (e.g. symposia, workshops, conferences) at any of the University’s 13 global sites. Applications are due on July 31st, 2024 and events must take place between September 15, 2025 and July 31, 2026.   • LMU-NYU Research Cooperation
    The LMU-NYU Research Cooperation promotes and supports research collaboration between Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität (LMU) in Munich and New York University across various disciplines and levels. Supported activities include: short-term visits to LMU of up to 90 days (For NYU PhD students and for NYU NY, AD and SH full-time early career faculty); joint conferences and workshops, seed funding for research projects, a visiting professorship at LMU of three months to one year (For NYU NY, AD and SH full-time faculty and engaged in active research and scholarship). Applications are due July 14, 2024 for activities taking place in the 2025 calendar year.   • NYU Research Catalyst Prize - 2024 
    The NYU Research Catalyst Prize (RCP), formerly known as University Research Challenge Fund (URCF), supports faculty-initiated research on a competitive basis, encouraging faculty who are exploring new areas of research that are likely to attract outside support, and faculty engaging in productive scholarship in areas where there are few sources of support.

    The Office of the Vice Provost for Research is pleased to launch online applications for the Humanities Mega Grants Initiative seed funds, designed to aid NYU faculty and researchers in securing funding for collaborative and groundbreaking research and projects in the humanities.
     
  • Rapid Response Funding: Technical Assistance Program (FY 2024)
    The Office of the Vice Provost for Research is pleased to provide support to principal investigators and research teams who are developing and submitting applications for extramural research funding. The purpose of the technical assistance funding is to enable research teams to hire graphics designers, grant writers and/or editors or for other services that can enhance their proposal for submission.
     
  • NYU Discovery Research Fund for Human Health : Planning Awards
    The Office of the Vice Provost for Research is pleased to launch the $2 million NYU Discovery Research Fund for Human Health. The Fund has been established to make substantial progress to understand and improve health through research and innovation. It will support research teams in unlocking groundbreaking discoveries and addressing bold, significant challenges in human health. We encourage ambitious proposals across fields, with a focus on interdisciplinary and cross-school collaborations, as meaningful breakthroughs come from integrating multiple perspectives.

    The NYU Abu Dhabi Institute is pleased to announce a new call for proposals for academic programs (e.g., conferences and workshops) that would take place in Academic Year 2025-26 in Abu Dhabi or at 19 Washington Square North, NYU Abu Dhabi's home in New York. The deadline is May 15, 2024. Proposals can be submitted by all tenure/tenured-track and full-time contract faculty from New York, Abu Dhabi or Shanghai.
