About:

To provide fundamental support for building a complex systems management theory for the era of artificial intelligence, applications are open for the Special Projects on "Management of Complex Human-Machine Systems".

Eligibility:

  1. Applicants must hold a senior professional technical position (title) or a doctoral degree.
  2. Individuals currently conducting research in post-doctoral research hubs or stations, those pursuing a master's degree, and those without an employer or whose employer is not a registered host institution are ineligible to apply for this project.
  3. At the time of submission, this Specialized Project is not included in the limit of two concurrent applications or ongoing projects for personnel with senior professional technical positions (titles). However, once the application is accepted for review until a funding decision is made by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), as well as after funding is granted, it shall be counted toward the limit of two.
  4. When personnel without senior professional technical positions (titles) apply for this Special Project as major participants, it is not initially included in the limit of two concurrent applications or ongoing projects for such individuals. However, once the application is accepted for review until a funding decision is made by the NSFC, as well as after funding is granted, it shall be counted toward the limit of two for major participants.
  5. Applicants and participants are restricted to applying for or participating in only one application for this Special Project.
  6. An applicant may only apply for one research project within the Specialized Projects category in the same calendar year.
