About:

The 2025 National Social Science Grant - Art Studies is now open for application. Please refer to the official announcement for more details.

Funding Amounts:

1. General Project: 200,000 RMB per Project.
2. Key Project: 350,000 RMB per project.
3. Youth Project: 200,000 RMB per Project.

Funding Duration:

The project completion time is generally no more than 5 years. For basic theoretical research, it should be 3-5 years and for applied policy research, it should be 2-3 years.

Eligibility:

• Applicants should hold a Chinese citizenship.
• General Projects and Key Projects: Applicants must have a professional technical title of associate senior level or above or a doctoral degree.
• Youth Projects: Male applicants must be no older than 35 (born after April 10, 1991), and female applicants must be no older than 40 (born after April 10, 1986).
• Applicants can only apply for one project, and cannot participate in other applications as a team member. 
• Applicants who have onoging National Social Science Grants, National Natural Science Grant or other national projects cannot apply. 
• Applications who are applying for National Social Science Grants, National Natural Science Grant, and MOE Humanities & Social Sciences Grants this year cannot apply.
