NYU Shanghai (“the University”) recognizes that faculty supported by strong research teams are likely to progress quickly in their research. The Incentive Program is intended to provide resources to faculty in hiring postdoctoral fellows (“Fellows”).
The goal of the Incentive Program – Non-Competitive Track is to support tenure-track faculty in building research teams that include high-quality Fellows.
Any postdoctoral Fellows who are sponsored by a tenure-track faculty (see Terms and conditions below).
*Note: A Fellow cannot be simultaneously supported by this and the competitive Incentive Program tracks.
The faculty sponsor can receive cost-share for up to 25% of the Fellow’s total compensation package, without exceeding the total amount that is covered by the faculty sponsor.
Duration of Support:
The funding is available until the Fellow’s current contract ends.
Faculty do not need to apply. Office of Faculty Affairs (email@example.com) will automatically activate the fund for eligible faculty.
Additional Terms and Conditions:
- This program does not apply to Fellows sponsored by academic programs or research centers/institutes.
- In general, an individual faculty member may receive funding for up to 3 Fellows at any given time.
- The program and allocations are subject to annual review by the Office of Research.
- All funding decisions are made at the discretion of the Associate Provost for Research.
