For nearly two decades, Maya Kramer has created sculptures and installations that probe relations between humans, ‘landscape’, and ‘nature’ in the age of the Anthropocene.
In this talk, Professor Kramer will briefly introduce her past work and discuss her participation in the June 23’ Arctic Circle Residency – where professionals ranging from artists and musicians to political scientists and environmental historians were chosen to sail around the Arctic and conduct research for their projects. She will discuss takeaways from her time there and implications for her future work.
