Krishnamurthi Ravishankar received his Ph.D. in Mathematical Physics from Yeshiva University, New York in 1980. He has taught at Ohio State University and Oregon State University and had visiting appointments at University of Rome I and II in Italy, University of Camerino in Italy, University of Paris Descartes (Paris-5) in France, Institute Henri Poincare in France, Universidade de Sao Paulo, IMPA in Brazil, Chennai Mathematical Institute in India, Indian Statistical Institute in India and New York University's Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences in USA.
His fields of interest include Probability Theory, Statistical Mechanics and Mathematical Physics.
