Gang Liu

Professor of Mathematics, East China Normal University

Gang Liu is a Professor of Mathematics at East China Normal University. Professor Liu’s main research interest is in complex geometry, which involves the intersection of multiple directions in Mathematics, such as differential geometry, algebraic geometry, multi-complex variables, topology and partial differential equations.  His main contribution includes the classification of noncompact 3-manifolds with nonnegative curvature, Gromov-Haudorff limits of Kahler manifolds with Ricci curvature lower bound. The relevant research findings have been published in Journals Ann. Math. and Invent. Math.  Professor Liu was awarded the Xplore Prize 2020 and was invited to ICM 45 mins talk in 2022.
