Haitao Sun received his Ph.D. in materials physics from East China University of Science and Technology (2014); from 2012 to 2014, he was a Ph.D. student jointly at the State University of New York at Buffalo. He then joined the group of Jean-Luc Bredas at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology in Saudi Arabia as a postdoctoral fellow from 2014 to 2015. Currently, he is a Professor in the State Key Laboratory of Precision Spectroscopy at East China Normal University.
His research interests focus on understanding and design of novel organic electronic materials using density functional theory (DFT) and molecular dynamics (MD) approaches. He is also interested in developing optimally tuned range-separated density functional method and its application for simulation of precision spectroscopy.
