About the Conference:
The conference "Ten years of Mathematics at NYU Shanghai" aims at celebrating the 10th anniversary of creation of the NYU-ECNU Institute of Mathematical Sciences at NYU Shanghai with the colleagues, students and academic visitors who have contributed to that tremendous success, whether through active remote participation, long academic visits, or on-site collaborations spanning semesters or years with us. Our goal is to reinforce our links to Courant Institute in particular as well as with all universities and academic institutions which have been connected to us through our network of former colleagues, visitors and alumni.
The conference is privileged to feature an esteemed scientific committee comprising eminent figures such as Gérard Ben Arous from NYU, Fanghua Lin from NYU and NYU Shanghai, Alejandro Ramírez from NYU Shanghai, and Pierre Tarrès from NYU Shanghai.
The conference will primarily revolve around the institute's main research areas, namely Probability, Mathematical Physics and Partial Differential Equations. Additionally, we will feature a few talks on the Mathematics of Data Science and the Mathematics of Neuroscience, which are research directions we are developing in our Institute. In general, our aim will be to offer a large spectrum of questions related to the main scientific interests at NYU Shanghai in mathematics.
