Álvaro Mateos González studied Mathematics at the École Normale Supérieure de Lyon and completed his PhD, Asymptotic Analysis of Partial Differential Equations Arising in Biological Processes of Anomalous Diffusion, at the École Normale Supérieure de Lyon and Inria Rhône-Alpes under the supervision of Vincent Calvez, Hugues Berry, and Thomas Lepoutre. After his PhD he occupied a postdoctoral fellowship in mathematics at the Université de Montpellier, attached to the institute of mathematics IMAG as well as to the institute of biology ISEM and to the INRA and SupAgro Montpellier. Since January 1st, he is a postdoc in mathematics at NYU Shanghai.
