Ruijun Wu is Director of Office of Humanities and Social Sciences and the Director of Center for Studies of International Migration and Overseas Chinese Policies at East China Normal University.
Dr. Wu holds many academic positions including Executive Member of the China Population Association, Executive Member of the Shanghai Association of Gerontology, Vice President of the Shanghai Overseas Chinese Historical Society, member of the Expert Committee of the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council, and Advisory Board Member of the Shanghai Population Comprehensive Management Office, among others.
Her primary research interests are in the areas of city population development and public policies, population aging and elderly security, and international migration and overseas chinese policies. She has published over 70 journal articles and six books. Dr. Wu received her B.S. (1985) and M.S. (1988) in Economics from Fudan University, and her Ph.D. in Demography from East China Normal University in 2005.
