Chien-Chung Huang (Ph.D., 1998, Social Work, Columbia University) is the director of the Huamin Research Center and a professor in the School of Social Work at Rutgers University.
His research emphasizes the role of social welfare policy in the well-being of children and their families both domestically and internationally. In addition, he has also investigated the effects of domestic violence on victims and their children. In recent years, Dr. Huang has focused on the effects of the nonprofit sector on social development.
Dr. Huang has co-edited three books and published more than 40 articles in peer-reviewed journals. His research has appeared in journals including Child Development, the Journal of Human Resources, the Journal of Marriage and Family, the Journal of Policy Analysis and Management, the Journal of Population Economics,Social Service Review, Family Relations, and Children and Youth Services Review.
