Starting with the role of non-relativistic algebras in describing various physical systems, we will look at the different generalization of these algebras. We will discuss some aspects of the representations of these algebras and the construction of invariant differential equations for these algebras.
Biography
Professor Segar Jambulingam finished his Ph.D from University of Madras in Particle Physics. After that he was working on problems in Mathematical Physics, mainly the role of various symmetry algebras in understanding physical systems, from the representation theory point of View. He is also interested in various correlation measures in understanding quantum systems and their use for quantum information. The statistical mechanics aspects of physical systems were also of interest to him. Currently, he is visiting Professor Tim Byrnes Lab, working on problems in quantum information.
