Abstract:
We discuss the relation between self-organized criticality and absorbing-state phase transition for abelian systems, and the implication of some recent results.
Biography:
Leonardo T. Rolla obtained Ph.D. in 2008 at IMPA, Rio de Janiero. He is an Assistant Professor at the Argentinian National Research Council at University of Buenos Aires and Visiting Assistant Professor at NYU-Shanghai. His research interests include percolation, particle systems, and spatial processes.
