Abstract:

In this talk, we will investigate the local stability of Poiseuille flows for axially symmetric Navier-Stokes equations with swirls. The key ingredient for the analysis is the study for the associated linearized problem for Navier-Stokes equations.

Biography:

Chunjing Xie received his Ph.D from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, and was a postdoc at The Chinese University of Hong Kong and University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. He has been a faculty at Shanghai Jiao Tong University since 2011. His main research interests are the analysis for partial differential equations from fluid mechanics and related models.
