The Once-reinforced random walk was introduced in the nineties as an a priori simplistic model of random walk with memory. Since then, only a few results have been proved, but very interesting features have been conjectured.
We will give an overview of the current knowledge on these questions, eventually focusing on a recent result of Vladas Sidoravicius and myself.
Biography
Daniel Kious is Visiting Assistant Professor at NYU Shanghai. Prior to joining NYU Shanghai, he was Postdoc at the EPFL, in Lausanne, Switzerland. He holds a PhD from Université de Toulouse, France, and an M.Sc. from Université Pierre et Marie Curie, Paris VI. Professor Kious’s research interests are Random Walks in Random Environment, self-interacting random walks and Processes with Reinforcement.
