Biography
Leksa Lee is Assistant Professor, Faculty Fellow in Global China Studies at NYU Shanghai. She holds a PhD in anthropology from the University of California, Irvine. Lee’s research explores how new museums and other representations of culture are taking shape at the intersection of Chinese local politics, small business concerns, and contemporary digital design practice. Her dissertation is titled Modeling China: Business, Politics, and Material in China’s Museum Industry.
