Silicon Valley Bank (SVB) in California has been at the forefront in the development of high tech banking. As chairman of SVB and a leader in high-tech/innovation finance, Kenneth Wilcox, grew SVB through the 2008 economic crisis and successfully brought SVB to China. He co-directed the now ongoing SVB-Pudong Development Bank at its early stage. In his presentation, Kenneth Wilcox will give the history of the SVB-Pudong Development Bank. He will also share with us his perspectives on China and US venture financing, as well as on banking career.
Kenneth Wilcox is an advisory board member of a number of prestigious organizations, including the Federal Reserve Board of San Francisco and the Asia Society. Stanford Business School developed a case study on Mr. Wilcox's work in developing the SVB presence in China. Before his banking career, Mr.Wilcox was a professor of German.
