Nadir Matringe is a Visiting Professor of Mathematics at NYU Shanghai. He is currently on leave from Université Paris-Cité, France, where he was appointed Full Professor of Mathematics in December 2021. Before he was Associate Professor in Université de Poitiers, France. He obtained his PhD in 2008 in Université Paris-Diderot, France.

Prof. Matringe works on representations of p-adic groups and automorphic representations. In particular he studies how representations of a local or global reductive group which admit a generalized vector fixed under some spherical subgroup, are related to the Langlands functoriality conjectures and the study of L functions.
