Institute Faculty Received Higher Education Outstanding Scientific Research Output Award

Institute member, ECNU faculty Xingbin Pan has recently received the 2019 Second Class Award in Higher Education Outstanding Scientific Research Output Awards (Science and Technology) in recognition of his achievements in Ginzburg-Landau Equation and Landau-de Gennes Equation. Professor Pan's work has explored the geometric differences between 2D and 3D surface superconducting states, predicted the surface smectic states of liquid crystals, and expanded the understanding of the mathematical similarity between superconductivity and liquid crystal.

The annual Higher Education Outstanding Scientific Research Output Awards (Science and Technology) is set up by the Chinese Ministry of Education for recognition of individuals or units who have made remarkable contributions in the areas of scientific discovery.
