Topic:
Slow Movement of Biased Random Walks on Trees
Date & Time:
Tuesday, February 16, 2016 - 11:00 to 13:00
Speaker:
Zhan Shi, Université Pierre et Marie Curie Paris VI
Location:
Room 264, Geography Building, Zhongbei Campus, ECNU
The seminar is sponsored by NYU-ECNU Institute of Mathematical Sciences at NYU Shanghai.
Abstract:
The biased random walk on rooted trees is known to possess an unusually slow regime. The speaker is going to give some elementary discussions on how slow the walk is.
This is joint work with Yueyun Hu (Univ. Paris XIII).
