Abstract:

We present a proof of the power law decay of magnetic moment for the q-state antiferromagnetic Potts model on the regular tree at the critical temperature, and also justify that the exact exponent is 1/2. Our proof relies on the assumption of the uniqueness at the critical temperature, which has been established for q=3,4, and for q >= 5 with large degree. An iterative contraction inequality is developed for independent interests. This talk is based on a joint work with Wei Wu (NYU Shanghai), Kuan Yang (Shanghai Jiao Tong University).

Biography:

Chenlin Gu is an assistant professor at the Yau Mathematical Science Center of Tsinghua University. He obtained his bachelor’s degree from Fudan University in 2014 and his master’s degree from Ecole Polytechnique and Université Paris-Saclay in 2018. He completed his doctorate degree at Ecole Normale Supérieure in 2021, supervised by Jean-Christophe Mourrat. His research focuses on the interactions between PDE theory and probability models such as percolation and interacting particle systems.
