Title:
Jamming Phase Transition for TASEP with Site Disorder

Abstract of the Talk:

In this joint work with Thierry Bodineau (Ecole Polytechique Paris), we consider the totally asymmetric exclusion process on Z with site disorder. We study the asymptotic particle current as a function of mean density. Using a renormalization scheme and homogenization ideas, we show that this (non-explicit) function exhibits a plateau around density 1/2, that is a macroscopic signature of jamming phase transition.

Transportation Tips:

  • Taxi card
  • Metro:  Jinshajiang Road Station, Metro Lines 3/4/13
  • Shuttle bus: For those leaving from NYU Pudong building to attend the seminar, a convenient option is to take the shuttle bus according to the timetable here. It leaves from the back entrance (opposite Century Ave.) to the lobby of Pudong building on the ground floor.
