Abstract:  

We first introduce several observabilities, as well as the corresponding controllability in control theory, in abstract settings. Then we define observable regions for differential equations. Next, we present the geometry for such regions for some differential equations. Finally we give further comments.

Biography:  

Gengsheng Wang is a professor at the Center of Applied Mathematics at Tianjin University. He earned his Ph.D. from Ohio University in 1994. With nearly three decades of experience, he is a leading expert in the field of control of PDEs. He has profound and original contributions to various areas, including time-optimal control, controllability, and stabilization. He has authored more than 90 papers and two monographs. Currently, he serves as an associate editor for the journals: SIAM Journal on Control and Optimization, ESAIM: Control, Optimisation and Calculus of Variations, and Mathematical Control and Related Fields.
