Abstract:
In the first part of the talk, we will consider the Ising model on $\mathbb{Z}^2$ at its critical temperature with constant external field. We will show exponential decay of correlations in this model and its scaling limit with small external field. In the second part of the talk, we will consider the random field Ising model on $\mathbb{Z}^d$. We will show exponential decay when either (1) the temperature is large and the magnetic filed strength is small or (2) at any temperature with strong magnetic field strength. This is joint work with Federico Camia and Charles M. Newman.
