Center Member Awarded “Synthetic Biology” Key Project of STCSM

Center member, ECNU faculty Lujia Zhang was recently awarded a major grant from Shanghai Key Project of Synthetic Biology, administered by the Science and Technology Commission of Shanghai Municipality (STCSM). The total award is 3 million RMB. The project seeks to develop an efficient enzyme molecule design platform driven by artificial intelligence. Other collaborators include Center Director Professor John Zenghui Zhang.

Professor Lujia Zhang is currently a Professor in the School of Chemistry and Molecular Engineering at East China Normal University and has been an affiliated member of the NYU-ECNU Center for Computational Chemistry at NYU Shanghai since 2016. His main research interests include enzyme dynamic mechanism analysis, accurate design and application development.
