Five New Faculty Members Join the Institute of Brain and Cognitive Science

This Fall, the NYU-ECNU Institute of Brain and Cognitive Science at NYU Shanghai is pleased to welcome five faculty members. Please join us in welcoming these colleagues to the Institute!

Chu-Chung Huang, Associate Professor at the Institute of Cognitive Neuroscience, School of Psychology and Cognitive Science, ECNU. His research interests include: Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Normal Brain Aging, White Matter Hyperintensities, Brain Connectome, Neurodegenerative Disease.

Yi Luo, Investigator at the School of Psychology and Cognitive Science, ECNU. She focuses on: the role of self-control in social decision-making among adults; the development of reward learning, cognitive control, and interpersonal inference in adolescents and their impact on social development; interventions such as cognitive training aiming at improving social decision-making.

Yiji Wang, Professor of Developmental Psychology at the School of Psychology and Cognitive Science, ECNU. Her current research interests center on two topics: how environmental risk factors (e.g. maternal depression, school bullying) affect child and youth development; the development of internalizing and externalizing problems at various age groups.

Jiamin Xu, Professor at the Institute of Brain Functional Genomics, ECNU. His research focuses on: neuronal coding heterogeneity of hippocampal pyramidal neurons during replay events, in vivo long-term ephys profile of hippocampal engrams, and neuromodulatory effect on hippocampal oscillations and neuronal coding.

Dongmin Yin, Professor at the Institute of Brain Functional Genomics, ECNU. His research focuses on the mechanistic and translational study of neural plasticity and neuroprotection, and his research interests also include schizophrenia, stroke, and other mental diseases.
